1. Special Education Assistant (SEA) Pool at Campbell River Christian School (CRCS)

​SEAs at CRCS are certified professionals who assist in developing the character, spiritual and educational potential of the student(s). CRCS has a need to have SEAs available for hire for potential incoming students. The position and contact days are 5 days a week.
The SEA duties include and are not limited to these responsibilities:
  • Praying regularly for the student(s) and their family/families
  • Overseeing instructional programs for the student(s) as directed by the teacher
  • Reinforcing or following up on assignments with the student(s)
  • Strong communication skills with and to associated team members
  • Keeping accurate student records
  • Attending meetings as required
  • Other responsibilities as required for the development and management of the student(s)

2.  Middle/High School Math and Science Teacher 

​Campbell River Christian School (CRCS) is a Christian school with approximately 260 students from grades KG - 12. We are presently seeking a high school teacher who loves teaching and Jesus.

​We are seeking a teacher who:


  • possession of a valid BC professional teaching certificate (or in the process of obtaining one)
  • has experience teaching physics, earth science, calculus and general math courses 
  • can integrate a biblical worldview into all lessons,
  • has strong assessment practices,
  • demonstrates knowledge of the BC redesigned curriculum,
  • has effective classroom management skills,
  • can plan engaging units of study through inquiry and support students' personalized interests and learning,
  • the ability to work closely with staff in a team approach to teaching and learning,
  • participate in professional learning,
  • have excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff, 
  • has the ability to work with diverse students by using various teaching strategies
  • All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, however, Canadian and permanent residents will be given priority​

3. Teachers Teaching On Call (TTOC) at Campbell River Christian School (CRCS)

We are now accepting applications for TTOCs. We are seeking teachers who can teach in classes from grades KG - 12. Applicants are required to have:
​
  • a BC or Canadian teaching licence
  • be a practicing Evangelical Christian
  • enjoy working with students 
  • are flexible and able to adjust as the duties or day requires

4. Vice-Principal

Campbell River Christian School is located in Campbell River, mid Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Job Description and Requirements
We are seeking a full time teaching Vice-Principal for September 2021. The requirements we seek include but are not limited to: 
  • Possession of a valid BC professional teaching certificate
  • Completion of or active progress towards a Master’s Degree in the field of Educational Leadership or Theology 
  • Evidence of a strong understanding of Christian education
  • Demonstrate current leadership skills and practices
  • Possess excellent listening and communication skills, willing to work in a consultative leadership style, be humble and have excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate ongoing professional learning and a willingness to continue to learn administrative and leadership roles and duties
  • Ability to set and complete goals with clarity and scaffolding for others 
  • Demonstrate excellent teaching practices which include current pedagogy with understanding of the BC Education plan 
  • Evidence of a commitment to all students for individual success including differentiated learning practices and students with special learning needs
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of CRCS’s mission 
  • Interested in a succession leadership plan

5.  ELL Teacher

​
CRCS is presently accepting applications for a part-time English Language Learner Teacher. 

Job Description and Requirements
  • must love Jesus and children ranging from ages 5 - 18
  • abide in Campbell River Christian School policies
  • provide a clear criminal record check 
  •  teaching English to others of different languages certification or equivalency (TESOL)
  • develop and instruct ELL classes using a variety of teaching strategies and student assessment methods 
  • demonstrate skills which reflects love and grace for ELL learners, demonstrates patience, flexibility and can problem solve independently 
  • work with other staff members to provide a collaborative and positive learning opportunity for each ELL learner
  • Provide clear and timely communication with the Principal or delegate regarding student progress, programming and scheduling

6.  Junior/Senior High PHE Teacher

We are presently seeking a junior high Physical Heath Education  teacher who loves teaching and Jesus.

​We are seeking a teacher who:


  • has experience teaching PHE  and junior/senior high students,
  • possession of a valid BC professional teaching certificate (or in the process of obtaining one),

  • has strong assessment practices, 
  • demonstrates knowledge of the BC redesigned curriculum, 
  • has effective classroom management skills,
