SEAs at CRCS are certified professionals who assist in developing the character, spiritual and educational potential of the student(s). CRCS has a need to have SEAs available for hire for potential incoming students. The position and contact days are 5 days a week. The SEA duties include and are not limited to these responsibilities:
Praying regularly for the student(s) and their family/families
Overseeing instructional programs for the student(s) as directed by the teacher
Reinforcing or following up on assignments with the student(s)
Strong communication skills with and to associated team members
Keeping accurate student records
Attending meetings as required
Other responsibilities as required for the development and management of the student(s)

2. Employment Opportunity - Visual Arts Teacher
Campbell River Christian School (CRCS) is a Christian school with approximately 230 students from grades K - 12. We are presently seeking a part-time (.33) visual arts teacher who loves teaching, children and Jesus. The applicant will be able to integrate a biblical worldview into all lessons, and will be responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability for creative expression in visual terms. The applicant will be able to use skills and techniques to develop artistic expression in the field of art and be guided by the BC curriculum. Additionally, the applicant will have the ability to work closely with staff in a team approach to teaching and learning, participate in professional learning, have excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff and the ability to work with multi-aged groups and support students’ diversity by using various teaching strategies. This applicant will require a degree in Fine Arts or have a teaching certificate with skills in Fine Arts. Campbell River Christian School Certified Christian Counsellor Our Independent Christian School needs a part-time (.2) school Christian counsellor to join our team who can provide students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with counselling and support. You must be available to students who need support with social stress or other issues as needs arise. You will work in collaboration with the staff at CRCS and with the families of our community. You will counsel all students through a Christian worldview and must have experience with models of best counselling practices and regulations. This position reports to the principal Principal.
Certified School Christian Counsellor Duties and Responsibilities:
Abide in Campbell River Christian School’s policies
Take a Christ-centered approach to mental health care
Work with individuals and groups to improve mental health
Be experienced to examine issues such as bullying, anger, depression, anxiety, stress and suicide (not an inclusive list)
Provide services that ensures students have a safe and non-judgmental way to voice their concerns, considerations and worries
Work collaboratively with families
Help students define, develop and execute action plans and goals
Follow up with students on a regular bases
Refer students to additional health services as necessary
Be an active team member of the CRCS crisis intervention team
Communicate with families, CRCS Principal and teachers about behavioural and/or academic considerations
Proven experience as a Christian counsellor/teacher
Have high Christian morals and ethics including confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
A belief that all students are able to make changes through the grace and teachings of Jesus Christ
Ability to work within a wide range of student personalities, giftings and backgrounds
Experience and model best counselling practices and be current in counselling regulations
High emotional intelligence abilities and excellent observing and listening skills
Counselling credentials or Bachelor’s Degree in Social work
Previous experience in counselling students
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to work with confidentiality
