We are currently accepting applications for a full-time, Sr. High teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will have qualifications/skills which include, but are not limited to:


- Possession of a valid BC Professional Teaching certificate/diploma
- Experience as a teacher in Humanities
- Experience working with Jr. & Sr. High aged students
- Strong formative and summative assessment practices
- Excellent understanding of and experience with differentiated instruction
- Ability to work with diverse students by using various teaching strategies
- Possession of excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to work closely with staff in a team approach
- Demonstration of excellent teaching practices using current pedagogical best practices
- Ability to integrate a biblical worldview into all lessons
- Demonstration of strong classroom management skills
- Evidence of a strong understanding of and support for Christian education
- A strong personal commitment to the Christian faith
- A commitment to the Statements of Faith as outlined in the school’s faith statements as well as the statements of faith as outlined by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)

MUSIC/BAND TEACHER — (0.65 FTE) PART-TIME

ASSIGNMENT: Gr.K-5 Music and Gr.6-12 Bands

START DATE: Aug 27, 2026

SALARY RANGE: $48,098-$90,216 per year (depending on qualifications & experience)

CRCS is a vibrant faith-based school nestled in the beautiful city of Campbell River on Vancouver Island. With over 40 years of commitment to quality education, we are committed to providing exceptional student-centred Christian education in a safe and caring family environment. We are now accepting applications for a part-time, Music/Band teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position's FTE has the potential to increase depending on the successful candidate's qualifications.

The successful candidate's qualifications/skills will include, but are not limited to:

  • Valid BC Professional Teaching certificate
  • Undergraduate degree in Music and/or successful teaching experience in Elementary choral & general music training as well as Band programs for Gr.6-12 (Beg/Int/Sr Band, Concert Band, Chapel Band)
  • Experience as a teacher in ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE YEARS, and HIGH SCHOOL and/or working with children aged 5-18 years old
  • Demonstration of excellent teaching practices using current pedagogical best practices and the BC Proficiency Scale of Assessment
  • Strong formative and summative assessment practices
  • Excellent understanding of and experience working with diverse students including those on IEPs by using various teaching strategies and differentiated instruction
  • Experience and ease using technology (e.g. computers, ProPresenter software, audio/visual software & equipment)
  • Possession of excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with staff in a team approach
  • Ability to integrate a Biblical worldview as well as Indigenous perspectives into lessons
  • Demonstration of excellent classroom management skills
  • Evidence of a strong understanding of and support for Christian education
  • A strong personal commitment to the Christian faith and the Statements of Faith as outlined in the school's faith statements as well as the statements of faith as outlined by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)

CASUAL/ON-CALL JOBS

Teachers Teaching On Call (TTOC) (Substitute teacher)

We are now accepting applications for TTOCs (substitute teachers.) We are seeking teachers who can teach in classes from grades KG - 12. Applicants are required to have:

  • a valid BC or Canadian teaching licence
  • a university degree
  • be a practicing Evangelical Christian
  • enjoy working with students 
  • are flexible and able to adjust as the duties or day requires

On-Call Education Assistant (EA)

EAs at CRCS are certified para-professionals who assist in developing the character, spiritual and educational potential of the student(s). CRCS sometimes has a need to hire EAs on a per diem basis when we are short-staffed. EA hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-3pm.


The EA duties include and are not limited to these responsibilities:

  • Praying regularly for the student(s) and their family/families
  • Overseeing instructional programs for the student(s) as directed by the teacher
  • Reinforcing or following up on assignments with the student(s)
  • Strong communication skills with associated team members
  • Keeping accurate student records
  • Attending meetings as required
  • Other responsibilities as required for the development and management of the student(s)
  • Adhering and being in agreement with CRCS's and ACSIWC's Statements of Faith as well as CRCS's Mission and Vision Statements
