Happy New Year CRCS Community!
January often feels like a fresh page—an opportunity to pause, reflect, and begin again with renewed purpose. As we return from the Christmas season, our school is stepping into a busy and important stretch. For our high school students, one semester is coming to a close while another is just beginning. Exams are underway, routines are being reset, and we are slowly noticing the days growing longer and brighter.
For our elementary students, January is a time to build on the skills and habits developed over the first few months of school. With renewed routines and focus, students continue to grow each day—academically, socially, and spiritually—as they deepen their understanding, confidence, and love of learning within a caring and Christ-centred environment.
In the midst of all this change, one thing remains constant: our Lord. Nothing catches Him by surprise, and He is present in every transition, challenge, and new beginning. Scripture reminds us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). As a school community, I want to encourage our families to spend intentional time in God’s Word and to walk alongside their children as they grow in their faith. For our students especially, my prayer is that their Christian walk would be one of purpose rather than routine—one that asks hard questions, seeks truth, and dives deeper into Scripture. May this new year be marked not just by fresh starts, but by a deepening trust in the One who never changes.
Blessings,
Dennis Peeman
