School News

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for all that lies ahead at Campbell River Christian School. A new school year brings fresh opportunities to learn, grow, build relationships, and see how God will work in the lives of our students, staff, and families. We are grateful to have our school community back together and look forward to another year of pursuing truth, purity, and excellence as we seek to follow Christ together.

We are excited to welcome Mr. Santos to the CRCS team this year. We also have several familiar faces stepping into new or expanded roles. Mrs. Jackson is serving as our new Careers Program Coordinator, helping strengthen opportunities for our students as they prepare for life beyond high school. Mrs. Webstad has moved into our Grade 1/2 classroom, Mrs. Bouchard is serving as our new Learning Support Teacher, and Mrs. Hart has expanded her role as our K–12 Music teacher. We are grateful for each of these staff members and the gifts they bring to our students and school community.

 Another exciting focus this year is our partnership with JOMO (Joy of Missing Out) as we work to bring greater awareness and intentionality around digital well-being. Throughout the year, our staff and students will be exploring what it means to use technology wisely while creating more space for relationships, learning, faith, rest, and the things that matter most. Families, please be on the lookout for upcoming parent sessions and resources designed to help support healthy digital habits in your homes as well.

 Our Strategic Plan is also now in full swing. Many components are already underway, while others will begin to take shape as the year progresses. One area we are especially excited about is the return of Missions to CRCS. We are currently planning for a Missions 12 trip to Tanzania this spring, along with several local mission opportunities closer to home. Our hope is that these experiences will give students meaningful opportunities to serve others, grow in their faith, and put Christ's call to love our neighbours into action. We are also looking forward to opportunities for our broader CRCS community to participate alongside us.

 While we will not be holding a traditional Blessing Service this year, we would love to begin the school year together in prayer. Families are invited to join us on the first day of school at 2:40 p.m. as our entire school gathers around the building to pray and say the Lord's Prayer together. What better way to begin the year than by placing our students, staff, families, and school into God's hands?

As we enter this new year, I am reminded of the words of Proverbs 3:5–6:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

 There is much ahead of us this year, and I am excited to see where God leads. Thank you for the many ways you support, encourage, pray for, and participate in the life of CRCS. I look forward to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year together.
